Anathema İstanbul'da (Anathema in Istanbul)

Anathema, Kasım 2003'te grubun son albümü "A Natural Disaster" yayımlandı. Artık grupta basçı olarak (yeniden) Cavanagh kardeşlerin üçüncüsü Jamie Cavanagh vardı. Grup Haziran 2004'te Rock İstanbul kapsamında üçüncü kez ülkemizde bulundu. Hemen sonrasında da Ekim'de Türkiye turnesine çıkacağını açıkladı. Kasım 2004'te gecikmeli DVD "Were You There?" Music For Nations etiketiyle piyasaya çıktı. Grup, 20 Mayıs 2005 tarihinde, Harbiye Açık Hava Tiyatro'sunda verdiği konserle 5. kez Türkiye'de bulunmuş oldu. Bu konserin önemli bir özelliği, kayıt edilmesiydi. Grup daha sonra Mayıs 2006'da ve 2007'nin Ekim ayında iki Türkiye turnesi daha gerçekleştirdi.

Kısa Bir Anathema Biyografisi

Liverpoollu müzisyenlerin macerası 1990 yılının yazında Pagan Angel ismiyle başladı. Klasik doom metal olarak şekillenen ilk demoları “An Iliad of Woes”u kaydettikten sonra, 1991 yılının Ocak ayında demonun çıkmasıyla isimlerini Anathema(Tanrı'nın ya da kilisenin lanetine uğramış, aforoz edilmiş) olarak değiştirmeye karar verdiler.
